The study of Kyrgyz history spans approximately three centuries. During this time, the research tradition has evolved from the initial accumulation of empirical data to the level of fundamental academic research. The full-fledged scientific stage of studying the ethnic history of the Kyrgyz people dates back to the Soviet period. It was during this period that the problems of Kyrgyz ethnogenesis and the main stages of their ethnic history were systematized and conceptually understood. Scientific methodology and research methods were developed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to studying this subject. One of the key features of research into the ethnic history of the Kyrgyz during the Soviet period was active state support, which contributed to the institutionalization of historical science and the expansion of the scope of scientific research.
