The article examines the peculiarities of relations between
Japan and the United Arab Emirates at the present time. Attention is paid
to the political, economic and cultural ties between Japan and the UAE,
especially cooperation in terms of energy and joint peaceful exploration of
outer space. It is noted that in the UAE there is a growing interest in the
history and traditions of Japan, the study of the Japanese language.
