The article is devoted to a brief overview of NPOs in
Kyrgyzstan. The term “non-profit organization” is defined, the forms of
NPOs are indicated, the history of the development of this type of
organization in Kyrgyzstan and the evolution of their legal status are
described. Based on information officially presented on NPO websites,
an attempt has been made to consider the largest non-profit
organizations in the country in terms of their areas of activity, as well
as their impact on the development of the society and the state.
