The review examines various approaches to the coverage of
interethnic conflicts in Russian publications. The content analysis of the texts
of printed and electronic federal and regional media, articles, issues of online
publications, bloggers' comments, speeches of political figures, messages on
social networks reflecting the problems of interethnic relations is provided.
The assessment of the images of external labor migrants constructed by the
media and the negative attitudes existing in society towards them is given.
